Agricultural Energy Grants

Agriculture is a huge industry in Ireland, responsible for over 35% of carbon emissions emitted by Ireland as a whole. It is crucial Irish farms receive energy upgrade funding to decrease C02 emissions, and to reduce energy usage and bills, while creating a modern, sustainable business. TAMS III Grant, 2023-2027 Agricultural Grants

TAMS III, Targeted Agricultural Modernisation Scheme 2023 was announced by the Department of Agriculture, Food and Marine on February 20th, 2023. This scheme is aimed at Irish farmers to improve their buildings, including installing renewable energy Solar PV Systems. 

Available from Wednesday, February 22nd, 2023, all farms in Ireland can avail of grant aid under the solar capital investment scheme, details below:

  • 60% grant off total cost of Solar PV installation, up to €90,000
  • Grant available on systems up to 62kW
  • Open to farmers who have already received grant aid under TAMS II

A huge increase in funding from TAMS II, and available to all farm sizes and sectors in Ireland. 

TAMS 3 will run for five years and will include 10 schemes. It is anticipated that the first Tranche for all schemes will close on June 16th, 2023.
